New England (Vermont, Maine, the Berkshires), California wine country and the coast, the Carolinas and Georgia low country, Colorado mountain towns, and the Pacific Northwest are all exceptional B&B and inn regions. Each offers unique scenery, food, and experiences.

Many do, but some are adults-only for a quieter atmosphere. Check the property listing or call ahead. Family-friendly properties often highlight kid amenities, connecting rooms, or cabins. Lodges, resorts, and larger inns tend to be more family-oriented than small B&Bs.

Policies vary by property — most require 48-72 hours notice for a full refund. Peak season and holiday bookings may require 7-14 days notice or be non-refundable. Always check the cancellation terms before booking. Booking direct (not through aggregators) often gives you more flexibility.
