With a blend of classic elegance and modern sophistication, Omni William Penn has served as Pittsburgh’s premier hotel since 1916. Architect Henry Clay Frick envisioned his creation as a showplace that would rival Europe’s most elegant hotels. By 1929, the William Penn had become the largest hotel between Pittsburgh and Chicago and with over 1,000 guestrooms, an elegant Grand Ballroom, and the beautiful Urban Room, it was the region’s busiest convention site.
