Built in 1935, The Savoy Hotel was one of several hundred beachside getaways that appeared throughout the city shortly before the start of World War II. While many of those neighboring businesses closed their doors over the course of the 20th century, The Savoy endured for its ability to offer a luxurious travel experience unlike any other.
